Well, I did it again! It drives my husband nuts! “What?’ you ask. Earlier in December I suffered from a “little” cabin fever. To get out of my funk, I decided for a furniture update again. Do you remember the white cabinet I picked up at a garage sale and relocated it into the home office? If not you can read about it here. Well, I decided I was done with it. Yup! Time for it to go. So…..
I posted it on the local facebook sell and swap page and it flew out the door. With such ease, I decided it was time to pass along the little white hutch too. You can read about that here.
But now with two substantial pieces of furniture gone, I MUST go on the hunt for their replacements. This is a furniture update project, of course.
Thrift store search…. nothing. Church sales search…. nothing. Craiglist, wait?, yes!!… waited too long … gone. Boo Hoo.
Did I jump the gun and sell my pieces too quickly? I was having seller’s remorse. I hate playing the waiting game. I was anxious to find a replacement and tweak it to make it my own.
Update: Right before Christmas I was out shopping a bit with my mom and there it was, the replacement. What was it you ask? Stay tuned and find out what the new piece is. It’s going to be marvelous !!!

January 7, 2015 at 6:22 amLooking forward to seeing what you found to replace the furniture. A couple of years ago I found the perfect dining room table from Craig’s List in perfect condition and the perfect price. It was in a 2 million dollar home that was for sale, They were moving to the west coast and I got a steal. (Wish I could have bought that beautiful home on the lake). 🙂

January 8, 2015 at 12:14 pmSometimes you just hit it lucky. I used to be reserved in sharing the origins of my pieces. I think it was such a terrible secret. Not any longer. Thanks for the encouragement.

January 6, 2015 at 9:07 pmI drive hubby nuts too by sometimes doing the same thing. Buy something today – a few months later, it’s got to go….then bring in another and the cycle stars over again. Hope this new find stays with you for a while.
