Home Office on a Budget

August 27, 2014 By thriftytonifty

After reading some of my posts, you may have come to realize a pattern of how I do things. (Or not). It’s kind of backward….  I will go on the hunt, find the treasures and then decide where and how I will use them in my home. This exact method happened when I came across this white cabinet a while back.

Do you remember my posting this in a Friday Find?  I purchased it because it was a piece I liked but more importantly, it was the right price. It was a great deal for $ 15.  However, I had no plan for it. So it sat and sat.  After I sold the Painted black desk, I  no longer had a  place for all my files and computer. Thus, a new project occurred….. an office space.

My process is to shop my house and see what I own that I can reuse, reinvent , or repurpose.   That’s when I remembered the white cabinet. This would be a perfect piece to use to store files. It has doors that can close to conceal all the clutter. Gotta like that.!  Also, it’s counter height so I can set a lap top on it or my ipad.

Its a perfect piece for my needs and the best part, I didn’t have to do anything to it … just carry it in from the garage ,wash it up and put it to use. One more item out of the garage!

I think this is a good start to a new office space.  Stop back to see the progress.  It will be a surprise for me as well.
