In the past I have shared my love for white Ironstone
Thrifty Decorating with Ironstone
What is the attraction? Do you also love white Ironstone? I think the attraction is that it is timeless. The white is perfect for mixing and matching with other pieces. It’s versatile to decorate with, and well, I just love it! I think you understand. It’s easy and I like things that are not too complicated.
Over the last few months, I have been adding to my collection. These added additions have created a display issue. My corner white hutch has become full. My buffet and dining table have vignettes of Ironstone. My new dilemma , what to do with the new additions? Time for a new cabinet.
Recently when I was out thrifting , I came across a cabinet that would work perfectly. I’m not against purchasing a completed project… if the price is right. This time it was. I scooped it up and brought it home.
I added the few excess pieces I had that didn’t have a home to the shelves. It was great! The upper shelf had enough room to stand a serving platter on its side and still have room for more pieces. I’m super pleased with purchase. Wait, look! There is still an empty shelf. You know what that means. …… more Ironstone!

May 11, 2016 at 7:33 pmMary, are you anywhere near middle Georgia? I’ll let you decorate my house too! I don’t know if your new cabinet started out as a Pie Safe but it sure looks like one. I love it.

May 12, 2016 at 9:20 pmAw Shirley, that would be so much fun but I’m not even close. I’m not sure if it was a pie safe originally … I thought the same thing also when I saw it. Thanks for taking a look
