Decorating Refresh

January 29, 2020 By thriftytonifty

Who says decorating has to cost an arm and a leg? All you have to do is shop your stash.  Meaning- look around your house.  See what you already have.  Use it in a new way, a new space, or  a new color.  Your old stuff can become new again if you just look at it in a different way  Give your space a decorating refresh   Here is my living space I … [Read more...]

January 30, 2019 By thriftytonifty

Do you struggle like myself styling a tiered tray?  I don't know what it is that stumps me.  Is it the multi levels? The height  between each tier? Or just picking out the decor for a small space?  Whatever the case, I have decided to give it shot and share my struggle with you. This challenge for attempting a decorated tiered tray came from Roz  Here is her lovely decorated … [Read more...]

Restyling with What You Already Have

May 24, 2017 By thriftytonifty

Sounds simple enough, doesn't it?  Yet, we don't seem to think of decorating or restyling with what we already have. During one of my purging sessions, I came across an old issue of a HGTV Magazine with a sub heading stating just that, "Restyle With What You Have".  Hey!, I must be featured, because this is the only kind of styling I do!  Seriously, if you look back at many of my posts I have … [Read more...]

Thrifty Kitchen Decorating- Shop My Stash

May 14, 2017 By thriftytonifty

How has your weekend been?  It has been fabulous here. Although there has been thunderstorms, there also has been a nice balance of great weather too. I know I often talk about the weather, but where I live, it strongly dictates what you end up doing.  When the weather is nice, you certainly don't spend it indoors. So my plans changed, and I spent a little " me time" doing a little Thrifty Kitchen … [Read more...]

Create a Coffee Nook In Your Home

February 16, 2017 By thriftytonifty

It's the middle of February.  The sun is shining.  The fresh snow is sparking and it's all being enjoyed with a fresh cup of coffee.  I just love my morning ritual of a great, hot cup of coffee enjoyed in my coffee nook to  start the day.  Over the years, my homage to the coffee started by allowing a single space on my counter for Keurig, to creating a wonderful coffee nook.  I'm excited to share … [Read more...]

December 23, 2016 By thriftytonifty

I'm a little bit early but I wanted to kick off December by sharing my attempts at adding new or restaged Christmas decor to my home. Helpful Tips to Decorate with Thrifty Finds

November 13, 2016 By thriftytonifty

I recently was going through my photos trying to clean up my storage, when I took a moment to reflect back on all the memories. While doing that, I realized the extent of my decorating with thrifty finds.  Yes, this phenomenon was the impetus of my starting this blog.   I have been decorating in this manner way before up cycling and repurposing were the "in thing".  Truly, it was out of necessity … [Read more...]

Thrifty 4th of July Vignette

July 6, 2016 By thriftytonifty

Happy 4th everyone. How has your summer been?  If it is anything like our summer, it's flying by. In our book, once the 4th rolls in, half the summer is gone. It comes abruptly and in a blink of an eye it's over. That is why in our neck of the woods, we covet this time of year and jam pack it with everything possible. It's all about the experiences and memory making during summer vacation. Because … [Read more...]
