Happy 4th everyone. How has your summer been? If it is anything like our summer, it’s flying by. In our book, once the 4th rolls in, half the summer is gone. It comes abruptly and in a blink of an eye it’s over. That is why in our neck of the woods, we covet this time of year and jam pack it with everything possible. It’s all about the experiences and memory making during summer vacation. Because I did not want to totally not do any I gave a quick thought to some seasonal decor and came up with this Thrifty 4th of July vignette
Doing what I do best, I gathered items I already owned to create this thrifty vignette. I picked up two white wooden chairs at a garage sale last summer and they have been sitting in my garage waiting for attention. It was time to drag one out. The American flag I picked up this spring during one of my flea market escapades and the potted plant was relocated from my back deck. Adding a little color, and a metal flag to the pot, just gave the extra touch needed to complete this vignette
The good thing about this Thrifty 4th of July vignette , is that I can leave it as is for the rest of the month. Just a little watering is needed. I love the simplicity. Have you done any summer or patriotic decorating? I would love to see. I’m always searching for great ideas.
Enjoy the rest of the summer and make some great memories.
