It’s been a while since I have spent some time in my home decorating or redecorating. I have been busy thrifting, painting and creating items to sell in a small shop called Treasures. But my true passion is finding discarded items, and bringing them back with a fresh new look to incorporate into my home decor. After all, that is what this blog is about. So it was time for me to get busy. Looking around my home, I decided to give a corner of my living room a fresh look by shopping my stash.
Sitting in this corner was my first piece of furniture I ever painted, a buffet. It was what got me started blogging. If you would like, you can read about it here and then continue on with its slow reveal. It provided to be useful through two Thanksgiving celebrations and I truly was very pleased with it. However, as many of you may know or can conclude, I like to switch things up. One day, I just decided to sell it and replace it. Out the door it went and my space sat empty. Until, I found the perfect piece off of Craigslist. I know, I know, it’s another buffet.
Now the fun part can start, decorating! Time to shop my stash. The shutters came from a Friday thrift outing. You can kind of see them in the back of my car, here. They were white at first but a little paint made them all fresh and new! Pretty much the rest of the decor was to a thrift store find that I gathered throughout my treasure hunting days, except for the wire cloche I purchased new. I think it turned out ok using what I had. I know this may not be a huge buffet decor reveal, but the point is: Making the littlest changes throughout your home can be refreshing and lead to more inspiration. Stay tuned to see the next inspiration.

July 27, 2015 at 6:18 amOh I love a good thrift store find! And I like the change out you did with the decor, I probably need to do this in my home as the room really seems to get stale because I don’t change up things very much only here and there for holiday decorations. Thanks for sharing and for linking up at Talented Tuesday!
Hope you are having a great week!
